Mathematics subject is mostly a review of the maths studied secondary school and tries to remind students. As a student who wants to continue in Architecture or Quantity Surveying mathematics is one of the subjects that has always been involved.



Assignment 1

This is the first group assignment which was about area and volume.
Group members: Parham, Syafiq, and Ameerah

What we had to do about this assignment was to draw all the surfaces and calculate all surfaces and the volume of the given figure by using different theories and formulas such as Pythagoras Theorem, ratio theorem in triangle, and law of cosine, then once we finished calculation we had to make the model of the figure.

Assignment 2

In this assignment students required to form their groups and start preparing a survey, so our subject should be something that can be compared between males and females. For this purpose we required to ask people to answer our survey which includes one hundred males and one hundred females and we chose uses of smart phones among them. After gathering data we should prepare a report including the process and all statistics. At the end we needed to make an infographic poster to explain our results in overall. This assignmet really helped us in terms learning how to prepare surveys and other processes to show the final results such as the report and infographic poster. At end for me this assignment was an great experience as a team work and I really enjoyed it.

At the end I think that learning mathematics was really helpful and I really can use what I learnt in studying degree. We have learnt many useful topics such as algebra, trigonometry, area and solid geometry (really helpful), differentiation, and integration. At the end I really enjoyed the assignments as well specially the final project which was very interesting.
